Live Quadcopter Builds

For any who may have missed it- I've been live streaming the newest drone builds in the lab for several months now. The Red October quadcopter is coming along great and should be ready to fly this week. Here is the latest stream: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/M-...

Re: Looking for a source to buy all parts associated with the 'Outernet Box'

Outernet website is the best place to start. I haven't kept up on what they have these days and I heard rumor that the Pi support had been discontinued. Not sure if it is true.

Re: Arduino and ESP8266 Working as One

I haven't done this yet myself but I have done similar with Arduinos and I2C. I would probably go route 2 and I would be tempted to set the Mega up as master and the ESP as more or less just a "radio" for relaying the data to and the network. Either way you set it up, if using I2C it lets you easily...

Re: Hello to all and Merry Christmas

Welcome and happy holidays. Not too sure how many Makers we have in the area to be honest but as you probably know- I am. Jigmod electronics system owner is not far in Kincardine too.

Glad to see you here. Look forward to seeing your projects.

Raspberry Pi Amazon Alexa

I was able to get my Raspberry Pi smart kitchen terminal upgraded with the Amazon Alexa voice recognition system. I have to say it works perfectly for what I need. She can answer just about any question I throw at here and I find it perfect in the kitchen for recipes, news briefing and conversion ca...

FPV / Quad Racing Backpack

I've got my quad copter backpack pretty much set up the way I like now and thought I'd share. For $30 bucks these backpacks works amazing for this job. The best part is they are a bit on the smaller side which resists the temptation to add 40 pounds of useless gear :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
